Getting real. Jennifer Lopez might have referenced why Diddy broke up with her in her recent documentary. The two dated for a couple of years before ending it due to his infidelity.
In her 2024 documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, she referenced her past relationships, some of which were abusive. “There were people in my life who said ‘I love you’ and then didn’t do things that were kind of in line with the word ‘love.’ Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun,” J-Lo said in the documentary. “I mean, I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I’ve definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things. Rough. Disrespectful.”
Diddy has been resurfacing in the news cycle due to Diddy’s home raids. The producer’s Los Angeles, New York, and Miami homes were raided by federal agents on March 22, 2024. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that this appears to be tied to sex trafficking allegations against Diddy in recent months.
In the midst of the raids, another one of Diddy’s exes Cassie, and her lawyers made a statement. “We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law,” Cassie’s attorney Douglas Wigdor told Page Six. “Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.” Cassie previously filed a lawsuit against Diddy for sexual assault.

Why did Jennifer Lopez and Diddy break up?
Jennifer Lopez dated Sean “Diddy” Combs for two years from 1999 to 2001. “I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin,” J.Lo told Vibe in 2003. “I never caught him [cheating], but I just knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night.” The couple officially called it quits after J-Lo had a long reflection about her adult life. “I had to think, do I want to be home with kids in 10 years wondering where somebody is at three in the morning?” she said.
