If you’ve been following March Madness closely, you know that the season is soon coming to a close. The Final Four tournament of the college basketball extravaganza kicks off today with the Purdue Boilermakers facing off against the NC State Wolfpack, alongside the Alabama Crimson Tide and Connecticut Huskies going head to head.

The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament, commonly referred to as March Madness, is a single-elimination tournament that crowns the men’s college basketball national champion for the Division I level in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The tournament started in 1939, is played in the month of March, and features 68 teams. The 85th annual March Madness tournament kicked off on March 19 and will end in a championship game on April 9 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Last weekend’s Elite Eight determined which teams were moving on to the Final Four; Purdue overcame the Tennessee Volunteers 66 to 72 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, marking Purdue’s first Final Four trip since 1980, while NC State came out on top against the Duke Blue Devils 76 to 64 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
